Christina’s path to You Belong started with her own experience. As a mom raising her kids, she relied on programs like Department of Family Services POWER TANF, Department of Workforce Services Wyoming Quality Counts, and Even Start, a former early childhood literacy program — and she saw firsthand what helped families and what fell short. That experience led to a career in early childhood education and workforce development. She started as a preschool teacher at Tongue River Child’s Place, a nonprofit early childhood center in Ranchester, Wyoming, and worked her way up to director. From there she moved to the Department of Workforce Services where she worked her way up from case manager to Center Manager at the Sheridan County Workforce Center to Policy and Planning Analyst. From there she built policy, led teams, and grew employment and training programs like ReEntry, WIOA, POWER, TANF, WIN, Wagner-Peyser, and Veteran Services across 20 workforce centers in Wyoming. She also led business services, working directly with employers on workforce solutions — experience that now drives the employer side of You Belong. She’s been on every side of this work — as a participant, a frontline worker, a policy person, and a leader. In 2023, she bought Kids Academy to keep it from closing. In 2024, she secured TANF funding and launched You Belong to build the program she wished had existed when she needed it — one that addresses the whole person, not just one problem. She runs both organizations from 2071 North Main Street with one goal: help families build real futures, help employers build real workforce, and make sure nobody falls through the cracks.

Georgia’s path to You Belong began with personal experiences that shaped her lifelong commitment to supporting families. After the loss of her father during her early teen years and later navigating life as a single parent, Georgia developed a deep understanding of how poverty impacts families and the challenges they face. These experiences inspired a career dedicated to helping families overcome barriers and build stable, successful futures. Georgia believes that when families have access to the right support and resources, they can establish strong foundations and achieve lifelong self-sufficiency. Through strategic guidance and compassionate support, she works to empower families to reach their full potential. She brings more than two decades of experience serving families through Human Services and Workforce Services. Throughout her career, Georgia has held roles including Eligibility Specialist, Workforce Specialist, POWER Program Manager, and Wyoming State TANF Program Manager, giving her extensive experience in programs that support family stability and economic mobility.
